Step 1

We have a steering wheel.

(Tip: For demonstration purposes, the steering wheel has been removed here. In actual installation, there is no need to remove the steering wheel.)

Step 2

Prepare the tools shown in the picture.

(All tools are included in the package except for the scissors.)

Step 3

Put the steering wheel cover onto the steering wheel, check the position of the seams (fix them with tape as shown), and make sure the spokes fit properly.

Step 4

Now begin the important first sewing:

  • Cut a thread that is three times the length of the stitching area.
  • Thread the needle.
  • Pass it through the first stitch on the back.
  • Tie a knot (then pass it through the back).
  • Go through the first front stitch.
  • Go through the first front stitch again.

Step 5

Now you can proceed with free stitching.

(Either the first method or the second method can be used.)

Step 6

For the final stitch, pass the needle through the leather. Then tie a knot underneath the leather, cut the thread, and finish.

Step 7

Tuck in the spokes.Insert all exposed parts into the inside of the steering wheel.

(This will not affect the normal use of the steering wheel, but avoid using excessive force to prevent damage.)

Step 8

Finished!

Once you’re done, don’t forget to reward yourself with a cup of coffee or iced tea. Take a photo and share it with your friends or on social media—this is your very own masterpiece! 😊
