The Timeline
2015 – The Beginning
Steven, the founder of the Griffowl brand, found the original steering wheel cover of his car, which he had bought six years ago, beginning to peel off. “The steering wheel is one of the most familiar parts of a car during a daily drive," he thought, "so the feel of the steering wheel matters a lot for a daily drive experience."
2016 – Laying Foundations
Through market research and product testing, he founded a small online store that sold hand-stitched steering wheel covers. He made his first fortune from the startup.
2017 – Trademark & Growth
As our team grew, our own brand name was successfully registered, allowing us to offer custom hand-stitched steering wheel covers to customers all around the world.
2018 – Modern Manufacturing
Steven established our own modern factory, where we craft high-quality custom hand-stitched steering wheel covers. We source used steering wheels from around the world to our factory, and develop the product templates, dedicated to crafting a 100% OEM fit custom hand-stitched steering wheel cover.
2019 – Strategic Expansion
Aiming at three key markets: North America, Europe, and Australia, we expanded and optimized the steering wheel cover templates continuously. At the same time, the official Amazon online store was established.
2022 – Global Partnerships
We established partnerships with distributors and installers worldwide, bringing the custom hand-stitched steering wheel covers into the mainstream audience.
2025 – Hong Kong Renew
In addition to our custom hand-stitched steering wheel covers, we want to explore more deeply in the field of the custom auto interior market. Therefore, the Griffowl was launched in 2025 as a fresh beginning.
